Description
Windfola, or "Wind-foal" in the Rohirric tongue, was the grey horse that bore both Éowyn (disguised as Dernhelm) and Meriadoc Brandybuck during the long ride of the Rohirrim from Dunharrow all the way to Gondor for the Battle of Pelennor Fields. Windfola was among the thousands of horses that joined Théoden's charge into the battle, though he bolted in terror when the Witch-king of Angmar descended upon them, leaving Éowyn and Merry to face off against the Lord of the Nazgûl alone.
