Description

Tûr Fúar, the Drearspire is in Câr Bronach in Gundabad. [52.7N, 68.8W]

Above the fortress of Agal Dûn is the broken spire of Tûr Fúar. Remnants of Angmar have reoccupied the tower, searching for secrets within. The entrance to the tower is on the uppermost level of Agal Dûn.

The Drearspire itself has several levels. The entry level contains largely storage and glowing green liquids reminiscent of the fouled waters in Urugarth. Just to your left when entering the tower, stairs lead up to a level where vile plants are cultivated. Above the gardens is a floor of machinery worked by captured Zhélruka, and above that is the library, where High Priestess Ásachal works. Above the library is an open, empty space where a powerful artifact once sat.

Lore

Deed Text: Sundered in the battles long ago between Angmar and the Zhélruka, Tûr Fúar, the Drearspire, looms over Câr Bronach like a twisted, skeletal talon. At the peak of Angmar's might, it was rumoured that the Witch-king of Angmar kept a powerful artifact within Tûr Fúar, but after the downfall of Angmar, Tûr Fúar stood all but empty for over one thousand years. Throughout its long dormancy, the Orcs avoided and scorned it and, thinking it cursed, they renamed it Shalgaush: the Bonefinger. Indeed, even during the ill-fated rebirth of Angmar, neither the False King of Angmar nor his servants returned to lay claim to the Drearspire. Defeated and driven from Angmar, the remnants of the Iron Crown have taken refuge within Tûr Fúar, where they desperately seek for a means to regain power and restore the realm of Angmar to its former glory.
