Bestowal Dialogue 'Bags full of books, seeds, and a cart of food? I know for sure there were no parties or gathering around the time she vanished, as we were preparing for potential invasion! 'Just a moment - the merchant said she headed off west? Could she have… hmmm. There is a cave in that direction that Rendis has mentioned before. She was always insisting that the dry air within would be beneficial for some of our mouldier books… But… You don't think…? 'Please, <name>, the cave is west of here, someplace between Imloth Melui and Tumladen. You should take the north road out of the city and pass through the forest. I wish I knew more, but please, search for her there.' Background After speaking with a couple of merchants in Imloth Melui, Rendis's intentions have become clearer. The path she chose to tread is one of danger, however, and it's unclear whether she or the precious tomes she carried away have survived. Objective 1 Search the hillside for caves Atharon has suggested that Rendis may be hiding out in a nearby cave. You should search the forest west of Imloth Melui. Brunil: 'Hiding in a cave? All this time? What a fool that girl is. I insist you find her and bring her back at once. Come to think of it, even if you just return with the stolen books, that's fine with me. Hmph!' You found a cave-mouth Objective 2 Search for Rendis While searching the hills west of Imloth Melui, you have come across a cave-mouth. You should explore the cave for any sign of Rendis or her books. Rendis: 'Who- who are you?' You explain that Brunil and Atharon have sent you to find her 'Brunil and Atharon? They yet live? Oh, what a happy day this is! Uh, on that topic… what day is it, exactly?' Her mouth drops open with shock as you tell her the date. 'How did so many days, nay, weeks pass? And you say that the war is over, and the Enemy is no longer a threat? My goodness. I came up here with some of our more essential medical texts, you see. I was sure the Morgul-horde would soon be on our doorstep and that Imloth Melui would fall for their flames. My beloved books… well, they are such important texts. I could not risk them, you see. I only meant to stay for a bit. I really did mean to check back and see if it was safe to return. Only, I suppose I got distracted reading.' She sighs, lookin wistfully about the cozy cave. 'Well, I suppose it is time to make my way back. Thank you for bringing me this news. I shall take some time to pack up my things. Please let Brunil and my teacher know that I am returning.' Rendis has been found and has promised to return to the city of Imloth Melui. She has asked you to inform Brunil of her whereabouts and plans. Objective 3 Return to Brunil Brunil is in the Halls of Healing, in Imloth Melui. Brunil: 'You return! What news of Rendis?' You let her know that the librarian is safe, and on her way back to the city with the medical tomes. 'Holed away in a cave and lost track of time? That fool of a girl was always getting lost in a book! Well, I am equal parts annoyed and relieved. I will let Atharon know to expect her back. He and I will have a very stern talk with Rendis about all of this. 'I suppose thsi is the best possible outcome I could have hoped for. You have my thanks.'
