When he was fourteen, he went to meet Halbarad and other rangers in Esteldin. Halbarad tought him how to speak elvish and art of battle.
He grew up to be fair and kind yet so fierce and when he came of age he swore the oath they all did: to protect the line of the king, as had been done for centuries and to do as the chieftain of the Dúnedain and his trusted lieutenants commanded in all things.

Life as a Ranger

After a raven brought a message from Elrond Halfelven, he set out for Rivendell.
On the way he was ambushed by an orc pack near the Ford of Bruinen.
He managed to kill the orc leader and others fled soon after suddenly he realised that he was wounded. He barely passed the Bruinen river before orcs gathered again.
Lord Elrond took care of his wounds. During the recovering he met with Aragorn son of Arathorn. They swiftly became good friends.
Aragorn was fair and noble, and was seemingly more mature than his age. Aftermath they went into the wild with Elladan and Elrohir for three years.
In T.A. 2956, Cender met with Gandalf the Grey and they became great friends. At Gandalf's advice Chieftain Aragorn started to become interested in the Shire and became known as Strider in this region. Aragorn gathered the other rangers and scattered our duties in Esteldin. From T.A. 2957 to T.A. 2980 the rangers took great journeys aiding the West against evil.
During that time,The Rangers kept a wary eye on all of these newcomers, minding the peace and protecting the Hill-folk as best they can, though their numbers are few. Cender has joined them in guarding against trouble, though the Black Riders have thrown his forces into confusion and disarray with their passing, stirring the dead once more in their wake.
When Aragorn returned to North, the Elves who followed Gildor Inglorion told Aragorn the Black Riders had been seen, and Gandalf had been missing and there were no messages from him. The Rangers kept watch over the border of the Shire and the East Road waiting for sight of Frodo but there was no news of them leaving Buckland.

Finding Aldebaran

The sword Aldebaran was forged by the best smiths in Númenór, and though ever black its edges shone with raged fire.

So Cender decided to enter the Old Forest looking for Frodo Baggins. Barrow-weights had no chance against him. After a while he found gratinic obsidian sword in one of the cursed places called Sarch Vorn (the Black Grave) near the edge of the Old Forest. He named it Aldebaran, which meant Chaser and spoke with it.

Cender: Hail the red thorn of Númenór. No lord or loyalty do you know, save the hand that wieldeth you. From no blood wilt you shrink. Will you slay my enemies swiftly?

The sword seemed to have a will of its own and spoke to Cender. And from the blade rang a cold voice in answer.

Aldebaran: Yea, I will drink your enemies blood gladly, that so I may forget how they slain the of Arnor's tenth High King, Eärendur, my former master.

Early Life Early Life

Grey Company

Halbarad received a mysterious message from Lady Galadriel, requesting to come to the aid of his Chieftain Aragorn at Rohan. At that time the rangers were scattered and diminished. When Halbarad led a troop of the Rangers into the south to Aragorn's aid in the War, in haste he could not muster more than thirty.
They found Aragorn near Dol Baran before dawn on 6 March, T.A. 3019. Elladan and Elrohir, and a company of staunch and fearless Rangers. Elladan and Elrohir gave him a message from Elrond: "The days are short. If thou art in haste, remember the Paths of the Dead". Halbarad bore a gift from the Lady Arwen – the Standard of Elendil. Aragorn knew the path set before him.

The Grey Company The Grey Company

Spurred only by the strength of Aragorn's will, the Company with Legolas and Gimli entered the dark path at the dawn of 8 March. With Cender's guideness they have found the dead the way of exit. At midnight Lord Aragorn summoned the Dead at a clearing to follow him to the Stone of Erech. After creeping in the darkness for what seemed like ages, the Company emerged from the Paths and rode quickly through the mountain fields with the Dead behind. The inhabitants of the surrounding countryside fled in fear, calling Aragorn the "King of the Dead".
On 13 March they found Pelargir overrun by Corsairs once again with fifty great ships and many more smaller vessels ready to sail to Harlond. The Company and the Dead drove the Corsairs away. After manning the Black Ships, Aragorn released the curse of the Dead. Halbarad captained a Corsair ship and they sailed toward Harlond.

Battle of the Pelennor Fields

After Aragorn released the Oathbreakers, and took the Black Ships north to Minas Tirith, where the Battle of the Pelennor Fields raged.
It must be said that the rangers were unlike any race in Middle Earth. The might of the Númenóreans could not be compared with any other race. They were masters of war and seafaring people, building great armadas and use them in their conquest. Even Sauron was afraid of them. And finally they had a chance to show their true might.

Scouts had reported that the battle was going ill. Aragorn and his company have joined battle from Quays of Harlond. The Standard of Elendil broke forth, and his Dúnedain swept down, giving the final blow to the army of Gothmog. The counter-attacked army of Sauron crumbled utterly. Orcs are fled. Easterlings and Haradrim were fighting bravely and refused to retreat. The Númenóreans put their bravery to the test. They have worked like a painters who use only one color. Red. Cender's weapon Aldebaran eagerly drank deep that day.

Battle of Pelennor Battle of Pelennor

Halbarad had fallen in battle. Aragorn held council with his trusted companions, namely Gandalf, Éomer, Imrahil, and Elrond’s sons. With Gandalf's advice, Aragorn accepted that Cender became one of the advisors of the King.
He agreed to draw forth the forces of Mordor for the benefit of the Quest of the Ring.
After the destruction of the Ring in Orodruin and victory at the Morannon, Aragorn returned at last in the triumphant manner that befitted his position. He was crowned at the gates of Minas Tirith, winning the hearts of the people of Gondor.

Aftermath

Some days after the coronation, Gandalf took Elessar up the slopes of Mount Mindolluin, and there he found the scion of Nimloth, the symbol of his mastery of the Reunited Kingdom. Elrond and Arwen came to Gondor and Elrond gave Elessar the Sceptre of Annúminas signifying the Kingship of Arnor. He wedded Arwen on Midsummer's day of 3019, and then was forced to bid his old friends farewell. He turned back to his new kingdom as the Fourth Age dawned and the Ringbearers left the shores of Middle-earth forever.
And Cender, first of his name, kept watch over and protect the Free People's of Middle Earth against the forces of Sauron.
