Description

The Hill of Erech is a landmark within the Blackroot Vale in King's Gondor. ^{[58.2S, 65.1W]}

Atop this hill is set the Stone of Erech, one of the seven Vandassari brought out of Númenor. It was here that King Rioc and the Men of the Mountain swore their oath to Isildur at the end of the Second Age, and it was here they sometimes wandered in restless death after Isildur cursed them for breaking their oath, giving the hill an ill name among the people of the Blackroot Vale.
