  • Melee Attacks/Combat
    • Most of the Hunter’s melee skills damage has increased; some skills have recovery timer increases as well.
    • Low Cut has had a slight increase to damage.
    • Agile Riposte - Significant damage increase, recovery timer increased.
    • The Hunter’s “Blindside” skill has had a damage increase, now adds 3 points of focus on use, and has an increased recovery timer from 10 seconds to 20 seconds.
    • The Hunter’s “Agile Rejoinder” will now begin execution much faster. Also, it cannot be parried, blocked, or evaded, nor will it miss against targets of your level.
    • The level where Hunters can purchase the Dual-Wield trait has been lowered from 15 to 10.
  • The Hunter’s “Swift Stroke” now applies a short-term self-buff to Parry chance.
  • The Hunter’s “Scourging Blow” has been given an increased chance to critical on both the melee attack and Barbed Arrow removal damage.
  • Barbed Arrow - Halved the number of pulses and doubled the damage per-pulse.
  • Reduced the rate that Hunters lose Focus for moving from 1 focus per second to 1 focus per 3 seconds. Example: If you use Low-cut and then run for 6 seconds you will lose 2 points of Focus. If you run for 4 seconds, you will still lose 2 points. If you run for 3 seconds or less you will lose 1 point.
  • The Hunter’s “Merciful Shot” may now be used on targets below 50% health (rather than below 25% health). The recovery timer has been increased from 10s to 30s.
  • Fixed a minor Hunter FX bug. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Fedaykinx (Contribs • User Talk).

Missing:

Guide to Michel Delving, Guide to Ost Guruth, Guide to West Angmar, Guide to East Angmar - completed initial pass, but skills need entries and icons

"Final class legendary for completing both traits" full info

Needs fixing:

Legendary traits are not identified as such in individual sections where they appear, e.g. Press Onward in Lessons of Nature. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Torang (Contribs • User Talk).

RoI Changes

I notice that some of the changes that came with RoI are marked in the hunter index, with both pre-RoI and post-RoI versions shown. The problem with marking something as "New" is that before too long it's not really new anymore, and the page has to be edited again, and someone has to decide just how long to wait before doing that. My personal preference is to have the main index show only the current state of the game, with updates explained in the individual trait and skill pages, as necessary. But I don't want to just assume that's the way things should be done - any thoughts? -- Elinnea (talk) 09:48, 18 October 2011 (EDT)

I totally agree to you. Updating the index to the current status (as RoI launch was quite a while ago) and maybe noting it on the main skill/trait pages. And for stranded skill/trait pages just tag it with a {{Obsolete|Update 4}} (or similar). --EoD (talk) 19:01, 21 October 2011 (EDT)
Thirded! I'm also thinking it'd be useful to remove outdated traits/skills(/quests/items) from all categories, as well - except for Category:Obsolete Whatever, naturally. This'll be easier if/when we get nocat parameters into all of the templates. Sethladan 20:09, 21 October 2011 (EDT)
Great, then I will work on some updating. -- Elinnea (talk) 21:34, 21 October 2011 (EDT)

HD update

Thanks to Massively: https://massively.joystiq.com/2013/10/16/a-foundation-for-future-growth-examining-lotros-class-restruct/
and Sapience's comments in the forums on the Massively article for great insight. https://forums-old.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?&postid=6963368#post6963368

The Screenshot of the Hunter trait tree is from that article.

  • All of the HD Update information is placed in the beginning of the article under: Update 12: Helm's Deep Class Update.
  • All of the existing information is simply "pushed downwards" under: Historical information -- nothing has been deleted at this time.

As the NDA is lifted I expect to find more "up to date" (i.e. as we should expect on Launch Day) information available. At that point we can begin to glean the "historical information."

  • This HD information is of necessity quite detailed (as I can make it) because these changes represent a whole new way of playing LOTRO.
As several of my guild members have commented -- it looks good and I can't wait to try it, but it will make LOTRO a whole new game.
  • Please, anyone with any insight or critiques please feel free to chime in!!! Of necessity, the content is 98% pure Turbine.
With the absence of the Lorebook, LOTRO-wiki has become the only game in town for reference information.
We may see some revival of other websites that have not gone dark, but which have not kept up with the updates.

HD Hunter updated

As of right now, as far as I know the Hunter page has been updated for HD and patches 12.1-12.3. Only mounted combat skills need to be added and I'll try to do that Soon ^^ Some information on the trait specialization sets, some tactical information, may be added, but that's optional for now. The Deeds Page is something I'll look into later on, got some exams coming up, but I think the main work on the Hunter is done. What do you think? Information still missing, or shall we remove the expansion update stub? (: Oh, also, I put some obsolete information on this page: Hunter obsolete data since HD. Shall I put a link to that page on the Hunter main page, or should we just remove that obsolete information completely?

You're doing all the work -- so go ahead and remove the expansion update tag if you think things are basically updated. Updating is a never-ending process. HD was an "exception" in that the changes were many and radical -- an entire new "game-mechanic" being implemented.

Categorization

This page *somehow* is erroneously categorized under Corruption Effects, but I haven't been able to locate the issue. A cookie for the person who removes it from this category! --Ravanel (talk) 09:11, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Which page? I don't see either the main page or talk page showing that category - however if you go to the category itself: category:Corruption Effects, it was listed!
That tends to be a WIKI problem. Many changes do not update automatically for some reason (deletions primarily) -- it is one reason why I normaly do lots of 'blank edits' of pages -- to force updates. I did that with the main Hunter page. Simply a blank edit forced the Wiki engine to update the category, and the Hunter page is no longer a corruption effect.
One place I find this effect all the time is when I do a move -- none of the links update until their page gets edited -- the "?action=purge" is supposed to force the update, but I find that it rarely if ever does.
