Shrews

Shrews are mole like creatures that live in burrows. They are herbivores and care not if those herbs are growing in a garden. In fact they seem to prefer eating from well tended gardens - and seem to have a particular fondness for elvish gardens. They are generally pests that need to be controlled, but they can carry a nasty poison and sharp claws and teeth.
