Farin, son of Borin, is the father of Fundin and Gróin and the grandfather of Balin, Dwalin, Óin and Glóin of Thorin's Company. Farin saw the Longbeards' flights from both the Grey Mountains and Erebor at the claws of dragons and their kin.
