Description

Bertel is a Forge-master for Thorin's Hall - The Forging Hall in Ered Luin. He was formerly a Relic-master.

A Forge-master can reforge and rename Legendary Items.

Every five character levels, a Legendary item can be reforged at a forge-master, raising its item level, DPS (or Tactical Damage Rating, Tactical Healing Rating, or Incoming Healing Rating depending on the item), and sometimes unlocking additional Tracery slots. This is also your opportunity to rename your Legendary item.
