Description
The Avorrim are a group of elves of Edhellond in Belfalas. A contingent of the Avorrim fought in the Last Great Alliance at the end of the Second Age and can be seen during the siege of Barad-dûr in the year 3440 at the elven camp of Echad-in-Edhil in the northern part of Arandor in Mordor Besieged.
Near the end of the Third Age, a remnant of the Avorrim are found in the hidden refuge of the Caves of the Avorrim, not far from the haven at Edhellond. The Avorrim have not lived in Edhellond itself for a thousand years by the time of the War of the Ring, though they still defend it at the request of Círdan the Shipwright. Dorthaneth is their leader at this time.
After the War of the Ring, some of the Avorrim return to Edhellond and set about making it into a garden.
