Kethrin's Journal
I decided to start this journal after I finally reached Bree-town and realized I wanted to remember more about what I have done.

My story really starts when I managed to get sucked into the Assault on Archet. I managed to help the people of the town prepare for the day and did my small part to help defend the town. Ranger Amdir was wounded the night I first got involved. After the attack, I helped with the clean up and eventually was approached by the ranger Toradan to infiltrate the Blackwolds brigand gang in order to learn of Amdir's fate. I was eventually able to meet with the brigand leader and found Amdir in their custody. Amdir was in someone’s thrall and ran away; however, I did help Sara Oakheart to escape as well. Amdir killed Torandan and is beyond saving. I am to talk to Mundol in the Mustering Cave of the Rangers. |
While doing this, I also explored the eastern Bree-Lands and have revisited Archet and visited Combe and Staddle. There I helped a number of people and began to develop my skills as a captain.
I have also been working on my crafting:
- I have advanced my skills as a cook to the master expert level and gained access to the advanced training available in Michel Delving.
- I also advanced my jewelry making and prospecting skills to the master journeyman level.
Bree-Land
level 18
I moved my base of operations to Bree-town and began meeting and helping the people of the town. At the same time, I started to move out into the western area of Bree-land.
Chief Watcher Grimbriar in Bree sent me to the ranger Saeradan. He wants me to investigate the Brigands on the Southern Bree-fields.
I also discovered the camp that Adso Haybank is setting up west of Bree. I am helping them set up their camp (they are currently paying protection to the brigands).
While I was in Buckland gathering salve, was approached by several people to help them. Hodric Bracegirdle asked me to eliminate some of the wolves of the Old Forest <Forest Wolves>. After that, he wanted me to clear out some of the bats <Forest Bats>.
Toly Brockhouse asked me to do some of his woodcutter chores after he sprained his ankle <The Wood-cutter's Tale>. When I returned to him, he realized that all the materials I gathered were spoiled and asked me to talk to Gillemin Brandybuck, an old woodsman, about it <New Trouble in the Old Forest>. After recovering Gillemin's pack from a nest of spiders, he wants me and a bunch of friends to probe deep into the spiders' lair and discover the cause of the problem <Haunted Forest>.
I decided to spend some time exploring the northern Bree-fields. Emma Rosethorn at the Hengstacer Farm asked me to hunt turtles for some soup <Snapper Soup>.
While fighting orcs, I found Robb Thornley a captive <Thornley's Rescue>. He asked me to tell his wife, Rose Thornley that he was alright. When I spoke to her, she asked me to kill the Red Reaver, the orc leader <Thornley's Revenge>.
A number of people have sent me into the Barrow-downs to handle tasks for them. I spent a fair amount of time killing wights and other noxious creatures there.
