Description
Physical Description:
- "The most beautifulest of Hobbits", as her husband, Jeshua Banks might say. Mirabelle takes as much pride in her looks as she does in sharpening her burglar skills. Her dark hair always cut to her fashion and out of her face so she can aways see what's going on around her. She smiles a lot to take other Hobbit's minds off of her scar; a long slice down the right side of her face. An orc blade. A near miss. Her scar reminds her of how quickly a burglar can be caught if not careful.
Personality Description:
- Kind and carefree on the outside, but inside lays an adventurous little Hobbit. She's in love with the Shire, like most Hobbits, and would give her life to defending it. She's learned all too much about the threat outside of the Shire and knows it's just a matter of time before the orcs and brigands, that are a constant threat in Bree-Land, see the Shire as their next target. She uses any free time that she can spare to training her skills with a sword so that she can one day diminish the threat of Angmar.
Bio
Mirabelle Proudfoot was born in Michel Delving in the West Farthing of The Shire. Her parents were ordinary Shire-folk and went about their own business day in and day out. Mirabelle grew fond of her neighbor's son, Jeshua Banks, in her tween years and vowed in secrecy to one day marry him. Little did she know, Jeshua had the same vow and they were married before her 33rd birthday.
Years before her wedding, however, when Mirabelle was only 28 years old, her parents were killed by a band of brigands in Bree-Land while on their way back from selling some of Farmer Proudfoot's fresh crop to his long time friend, Adso Haybank. Upon hearing the news, Mirabelle pledged that she would not share the same fate as her parents. She sought, in secret, the help of long-time friend, Lilabet Roper; a burglar from Michel Delving. Quick to learn, and fueled by the thought of revenge, Mirabelle soon surpassed even her trainer's skills. Lilabet suggested that she traveled to Bree-Town in search for a new trainer. With the constant attacks by brigands and wild-life, and overall condition of life in Bree-Town, she was certain to find an even more skilled burglar than Lilabet.
So with a heavy heart, Mirabelle bought a pony from Andfast Tunnelly, pack up when little she could, and sent a letter to her cousin, Pansy, in Newbury to let her know she was planning a visit. The next morning she set off over the green hills of the Shire and after a long day of travelling, she arrived at The Floating Log Inn. She then realized she should have told Jeshua where she was going, but he would not have understood. She cried herself to sleep that night at the thought of leaving him. The next day she set out towards Stock to meet her cousins, Pansy Proudfoot and Fogo Fallohide, at The Golden Perch. After an afternoon of ale and merriment, Mirabelle set off with Pansy and Fogo over the Brandywine Bridge to their home in Newbury.
After 2 days of visiting (one filled with excitement as a cow had somehow made it's way onto Pansy and Fogo's roof) and lots of catching up on events between families, it was time for Mirabelle to set off east again. The trip from Buckland through Bree-land, however, was very much different from the roads in the Shire. The Hobbit holes and friendly folk were now replaced with trees and various wildlife. She could see bears and boars off in the distance and sometimes a little too close for comfort. She was once startled by a wolf that took off into the woods and she hoped there would be enough sunlight to make it to Bree-Town. She certainly would not like to spend the night alone.
Her heart was lifted when Mirabelle saw a fire ahead on the road. She was cautious at first, not knowing if she was about to enter a Brigand campsite, but she then saw wagons and half built buildings. She know then she'd found herself not at Bree-Town, but at the camp and construction site of Mr. Adso Haybank himself!! Overjoyed with being reunited with his friend's daughter, Adso immediately convinced Mirabelle to stay a while and learn from him even more farming, woodworking, and forester skills than her father was able to teach her. She soon found a place within the hustle and bustle of life at Adso's Camp.
Mirabelle made many friends at Adso's camp. Aside from Adso, the camp was mostly men and women from Bree-Town who worked on the construction of the buildings or hunted and cooked for the camp. There was also another Hobbit in the camp, Mr. Atherol Took, as well as four Elves, Aradia, Relondir, Peren, and Mírfain who mostly kept to themselves. Bands of Dwarves would come and go, but never stayed long. Mirabelle played her part in the camp by helping fell trees from the Old Forest to be cut up into lumber for constuction and farm veggies to be stewed with the boar, wolf, and boar meat that the hunters would return with. She also quickly learned from Adso how to tan the animal hides to make leather that could be used to make blankets or armour for everyone.

Mírfain explained to Mirabelle that, even though they had become such great friends in such a short while, she could not allow such an unskilled warrior into the wilderness with her. But, luckily enough for Mirabelle, Mírfain knew of a burglar in Bree-Land whom could help her in her quest, a Miss Albra Lowbanks. Mírfain promised to help Mirabelle with her training under Miss Lowbanks, but was called to aid in the defense of Trestlebridge after only a year. They vowed to fight along side one another someday for the protection of The Shire.
After 4 years Mirabelle had learned much and finally returned to her home in Michel Delving as a master of stealth, surprise, and mischief; only to find Mr. Jeshua Banks sitting at her front door. His eyes filled with tears at her arrival and he cried as he told her that the past 4 years of his life he knew she was alive and would sit on her stoop everyday, waiting for her to come home. He would not bring himself to believe that she was dead, like so many told him she was, and would play beautiful music to cheer himself up and planned to play it to her when she returned. He also swore that he would marry only her, though his mother was ever seeking a wife for him, and would stay a bachelor forever if she never returned. He pulled out a ring from his pocket that his mother had given him and Mirabelle cried as she accepted his marriage proposal. Within 5 months, they were married.
Mirabelle confessed to Jeshua everything about her training and all that she'd seen in her years outside of The Shire and he understood completely. He had also become quite a warrior while she was away as well, but he had become a warrior of song and music. They never travel alone and use their professions of "Woodslady" and "Historian" to sneak away to defend The Shire together.
