Bind on Aquire/Use

One more missing field: "Bind on Aquire" or "Bind on Use", if the item could be bound at all... --Xander 04:53, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

I will add the bind field tonight, go ahead and add bind=Aquire or bind=Use to the items... they will appear once i add the code--Hinney 16:28, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
Done--Hinney

Items for multiple professions

And one more problem with tools that are used in more then one profession, ie smithing hammer for metalsmith and weaponsmith --Xander 10:43, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

I will add profession-2 and profession-3? should that be enough? --Hinney 16:28, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
scratch that.. The profession tag is for an items that "Requires the X profession." I think what you are referring to are items that don't require a profession but can be used by multiple professions. So we could add additional categories outside the template or add fields for them... comments --Hinney 20:55, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
Ok, tools really don't have profession info in their tooltip, i guess i'll have to go through manually and edit it out and just add categories for it... --Xander 00:19, 10 April 2007 (PDT)

Class items

There I go again =) ... field for class items needed, see Item:Squire Herald Armaments for example... --Xander 11:11, 9 April 2007 (PDT)

class-item=captain ok? if not what do you propose? --Hinney 16:28, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
Done. --Hinney 21:14, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
changed it a bit to show the requirement in the tooltip --Xander 00:19, 10 April 2007 (PDT)

Missing Fields for ???

  • Fields "Max Targets" and "Radius" are missing for Champion Horns --Xander 11:55, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Usage Requirements field appears for items that have no such requirements --Xander 12:07, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
Can you list all the variables that require/don't require the usage text or make this a running list? --Hinney 16:28, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
hm, characteristic, profession, proficiency, class(-item); level - for sure
cannot be used in combat too, i think, but its white text as long as you're not in combat... --Xander 00:19, 10 April 2007 (PDT)
  • We could use duration... right above cooldown... :) A lot of the food items had a Duration, and I am sure I will come accross that again with other types of items :) Rogue 23:50, 23 February 2008 (PST)
I've added support for clickable effects and sets in the test template (user:Xander/tt, mouse over the links to see the tooltip):
It still requires minor tweaking but basic support is there... and we might not go along with this template at all since Eleazaros is working on another one, which might be a lot better... --Xander 14:36, 3 March 2008 (PST)

Bug in the worth-g/-s/-c

  • Template shows some code if one or all of the fields worth-g, worth-s and worth-c are not on page... see Item:Lesser essence of athelas for example --Xander 15:15, 9 April 2007 (PDT)
Interesting.. I will have to look into that later.. It seems like there's a limitation on using the extended parser function "or" with variables.. so maybe i will have to try another way. --Hinney
It's a bit awkward when adding many items ... How about we take away all worth and vendor variables and just leave two fields worth & vendor, there one can use {{worth}}, it will be a bit easier (i think), but we'll have to explain how to use it more often i guess... --Xander 08:41, 10 April 2007 (PDT)
I think i got it fixed now --Hinney 00:33, 21 April 2007 (PDT)

Quest rewards

For items that are quest rewards, should there be a line identifying and linking the quest? Synique 16:10, 29 June 2007 (PDT)

Might not be a bad idea, although the "what links here" link on the left should tell you. DancesInTrees 00:58, 30 June 2007 (PDT)
On second thoughts, no. The item description doesn't show what quest it is from, and this box mirrors the item description. But I still agree it would be a good idea to enter the quest below the infobox on the item's page. DancesInTrees 03:01, 30 June 2007 (PDT)

Font colour of item name

Is there any way to change the colour of the font used for the item name to match it to quality, eg, white for common, yellow for uncommon? Synique 05:29, 3 July 2007 (PDT)

  quality =         incomparable (teal text)
                    rare (purple text)
                    uncommon (yellow text)
                    common (whitish text)
There is a quality field that changes the color of the title.

Category Structure

Is there anyway we can change the way the infobox items work for categories? Reason I mention this is I was thinking up a good structure for Items, as having every single item (eventually or close to it) in the game in one category doesnt make sense to me. No one has time to browse through those and anyone would get lost in looking for what they want. Is there a way to not have infobox's point to a specific category but let the article itself have category tags pointing them to the appropriate spot? Rogue 01:14, 16 February 2008 (PST)

Quality Colors

the colors for quality isn't working! Every item is white Rogue 10:38, 3 March 2008 (PST)

could use an example before I try fixing it ;) --Xander 14:19, 3 March 2008 (PST)
Nevermind, Eleazaros fixed it :) --Fedaykin 15:38, 3 March 2008 (PST)

Set Items

I have submitted a set item yesterday and I didn't want to post an image, so I used the template. Is it possible to add a set item line into the infobox? Thanks. --Megildir 00:49, 26 June 2008 (PDT)
