I'd suggest converting most of the info from http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Reputation_System, or at least linking to it...

A link for now wouldn't harm. Converting ... could be a fine line between that & out-right copying; as a rule I only enter data that I have gained directly from the game - although I may use other sites to confirm something I'm not sure on (eg I do use the lorebook to check which quest was a prerequisite when it wasn't clear). The note below these editing pages says "You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource. DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION!" I'm not sure quite what status the lorebook has. DancesInTrees 03:23, 8 September 2007 (PDT)

OK, I've edited in a framework for each faction page, and filled in as much as I know (though I did pinch the crafting professions info & a couple of other bits from somewhere, I forget where ;D ). Rep Quests

I've been listing quests that give rep fairly generally "most quests in this area" etc as the complete lists will be quite lengthy - do we want actual quests lists as in The_Mathom_Society_Reputation#General_Quests?

I think what would be best is that all quests that give rep with a faction will end up categorised as such & this rep pages will just list the general areas & point to the category containing the specific quests.

• I didn't see a list anywhere that showed "these quests give you the reputation point items" so I decided to list them. Personally I think that "these are found in most shire quests" is pointless and wastes everyone's time. It doesn't tell you anything useful. That is why I believe listing the quests, generally or otherwise is better than not. If we end up with subcategories in the category:Reputation quests that prove useful and point me and countless others in the right direction thats fine, but right now there's not and it was very frustrating for myself and travel companion who are 25th to go into the shire for the mathom house reputation build up to have to click on every gray ring we happened to see on a hobbit just to find out if they offered the mathom tokens. So, finding nothing here that helped me determine which quests had those I started writing them down as I came across them and added them to the one place I thought obvious for now. Fair enough. I've tended to run all my alts round the Shire fairly early (they all jumped to Acq. with bk 12) so I don't see it from the perspective of someone who is just after the rep quests. DancesInTrees 01:19, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
