Purpose
The purpose of this page is to suggest and discuss changes to the Main Page before implementing them and (potentially) disrupting the users of the wiki. This page should be remain unprotected to allow any user to suggest changes. The Main Page should be updated periodically to implement changes that have consensus.
Help the newbie
I suggest adding newbie-friendly links towards the top of each section. The crafting page is a great example of this. I also started a draft of Middle-earth to give an overview of the locations, creatures and quests in the game. Obviously many of our pages aren't complete yet but I figure that stubs are better than nothing. Hopefully if we help newbies they will remember the wiki and come back to help use improve it -- maybe even to complete our stubs.
The first edit of this page includes my suggestions for the Game Play section. I re-ordered this section and added a link to Getting Started. In general the Game Guides section is hard to navigate... if anyone is looking for a project. --Glynnis 16:22, 9 June 2008 (PDT)
- Actually I agree with Glynnis on the point that our Beginner's Guide section needs some work. I will gladly help in this section by keeping it in the back of my mind and when I have a little extra time I'll see about writing something up. news and updates section
I suggest changing News & Updates to something like this:

A few notes:
- We may need to change US to North America or something similarly neutral, maybe even add links to Korean and Russian pages when they're up...
- We may also get rid of the news section and leave it to the various news sites and blogs, unless someone is ready and willing to update it regularly.

- I like your format for the website and forums much better. I changed homepage to website in your example. I don't like the red link for "known issues". Does this mean wiki users are expected to write a list of known issues for each patch? That's a great idea but I recommend removing the link until editors are regularly updating the known issues. --Glynnis 21:14, 11 June 2008 (PDT)
