Quest:Retake Weathertop

Bestowal dialogue

'You bring me that which I have learned in your absence, [your name] -- Orcs have taken Amon Sûl!

'While you were seeking Saeradan in Breeland, I watched as Orcs climbed to the summit of Weathertop. While a portion of their company toiled with goblins and Wargs to build ramparts and fortifications, the rest dragged something heavy to the top of the hill.

'If Saeradan has read these letters true, the Orcs may be preparing to light a fire that will shine far enough to the South to alert a larger host. We must foil their plans, [your name]!

'Gather allies and return to me when you are ready. Together we shall scale Amon Sûl and defeat Rigûl before he can carry out his master's will!'

Background

Candaith saw a company of Orcs climbing to the summit of Weathertop, preparing fortifications and barricades as they went. The Orcs have foul plans for the hill and must be defeated before they work some great mischief.

Objective 1

Candaith is at his camp at the foot of Weathertop.

The Ranger Candaith asked you to assist him in driving a company of Orcs from Weathertop. He told you to gather allies and return to him when you are prepared.

• Talk to Candaith and retake Weathertop

'If you are prepared, I will lead the way. We must be swift, else the Orcs may succeed at whatever foul mischief they have planned!'

Objective 2

Candaith is at his camp at the foot of Weathertop.

Candaith is waiting to discuss with you the strange events that occurred atop Amon Sûl.

'Do not concern yourself with the Orcs that remain. This far removed from the South-lands, they will dwindle and become only a small danger to travellers through the Lone-lands.

'We have won a pivotal battle, my friend. You have earned some rest, I think, for the great threat posed by these orcs is now finished!'
