Bestowal dialogue
Human character
'While the wolves in this part of the Chetwood are not as fierce as others, they can still present a threat to an untrained warrior. I think it might be best if you train further before coming to Archet's aid.
'Fortunately, I have heard that an experienced [your class] has come to Archet to aid in her defence. That [your class] might just be able to help you improve your own abilities. I believe the [your class] is up the slope, west of the training grounds near Archet's gate.
'Once you are through training, return to me here.'
Hobbit character
'While the Blackwold brigands are not known for their skills, to someone from the Shire they certainly present a dire threat. I think it might be best if before you come to Archet's aid you further train in your chosen discipline.
'Fortunately, I have heard that an experienced [your class] has come to Archet to aid in her defence. That [your class] might just be able to help you increase your own abilities. I believe the [your class] is west of the training grounds near Archet's gate.
'Once you have finished training, return to me here.'
Background
Amdir recognizes that your skills, while significant, need improvement if you are to deal with the threats posed to Archet.
Objective 1
The [your class] trainer can be found west of Archet's training grounds.
Amdir suggested you train further before coming to Archet's defence.
Captains
'I welcome you to Archet. Dark days lie ahead for this village, but with another Captain here, there may yet be hope. I will gladly train you, if you would have me, but I would share a word of advice before we continue.
'What you must keep in mind is that a Captain best serves his companions not when he is at the front line. Nay, it is when he stands behind and directs their efforts that he truly shines. There he can see weaknesses in his enemies or press his companions forwards and inspire them to victory.
'Keep this in mind in the days ahead.'
Objective 2
Amdir can be found outside The Mad Badger Inn in the centre of Archet.
Now that you have spoken to the more experienced [your class] and have learned new abilities, you should return to Amdir.
- 'Ah, good. You have returned. I hope you fond your time with your fellow [your class] enlightening.
- 'If you find strange that I have given you food, think upon this: if you are to maintain your strength, you must eat. Should you find yourself in need of more provender, you may speak to Peg Pruner, the garrison's quartermaster, to the north of here.
- 'Now, I think it is time you take my place and come to Archet's defence, if you are prepared.'
