'We only thought it proper to get you something. Lobelia was right, in a way: we don't have much in the way of spare proffer, but we share what we can. especially for those who have given us as much as you!
'We would like you to have this Yule-tree. It's a transplant -- my nephew Halfast brought it down from the Northfarthing. We were going to plant it in the yard, but seeing as how you helped us so... well, Marigold thought it would be best if you took it to your house.'
