Creating Your Character Profile
Please use User:YourAccountname/YourCharacterName when creating your character profile.
Example: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/User:Ealdor/Ealdor_Lysan will create a Character Profile page for Ealdor Lysan
1. Accuracy and spelling.
The following template variables are used to categorize pages and as a result they MUST be spelled correctly.
- Name: If you cannot spell your own name from memory, go find a reference. e.g. Look on your login screen to LotRO.
- Kinship: The name of your characters Kinship must be spelled exactly the same way as it is above players heads in game.
- World: What server do you play on? Please chose from one of the following servers.

2. Frequently Asked Questions about this template.
- What if I have nothing to enter for a certain variable?
- If you have no Kinship then leave that field empty. Any other variable you have no value for should be set to n/a (which stands for not available)
- What If I need to change a variable at a later date?
- Just log in and edit the page. Any variables you change will be updated on the page once you click the "Save Page" button.
- Is it okay to change the name variable when editing a page?
- Changing your characters name is fine, just so long as it is consistent in all variables throughout the wiki. (e.g. Stories with the characters name as the author variable)
- How do I get my picture to show rather than be a link
- Simple, go to this link Special:Upload and then select your picture on your computer, make sure to copy the file name that it is uploaded as. Now for the image option of the profile, just paste the image name there, and then Save Changes, or
- just click on the link and you will be taken to upload page, then repeat he steps above
