The Keeper Garthamendir is the Cargûl that commands the Gertheryg and Iron Crown Angmarim who guard the Gate of Shadows.

Location
Garthamendir's post is north of the fountain at the base of the ramp leading up to the Gate of Shadows. He is guarded by Gertheryg and Angmarim.
Strategy
There is a safe spot to fight near the eastern houses at the bottom of Garthamendir's ramp. First defeat the patrolling Gorthorog and any Angmarim that come with it. Then try to pull the other mobs guarding him down the ramp to fight them behind the houses. You can use the houses to break LOS with archers. Finally, it is recommended to pull Garthamendir down to this area to fight him, as the respawn rate in this area is fairly fast.
